A celebration of our community and its myriad cultures with food, music, dance, drum, visual art and more! Mosaic America invites you to celebrate our mosaic of American cultures at the first annual Mosaic Festival in Silicon Valley. The very first of its kind, the festival honors our community with a day of belonging, healing, and harmony through art. On September 25, 2021, from 11am to 5pm, experience performances by artists around the Bay Area. Discover cultures through food in an eclectic curation of food trucks and small business vendors. Shake off the languishing of quarantine through movement, whether it's through walking, yoga, or dancing in place. Marvel at the art by local creators at an exhibit of their work that presents their perspective of the "American Mosaic." Most importantly, take part in our united effort to heal from the pandemics of COVID-19 and racism that have attempted to erode who and what we truly are: a united mosaic of American communities, rooted in our love for our home - the gleaming, diverse, culturally-rich Silicon Valley. We are committed to intentionally creating a space of empathy and compassion where everyone is welcome. This event is for ALL, no prerequisites: We encourage you to come as you are! Through the generosity of our grantors, partners, and sponsors, we are offering this event free of charge. Join us in a celebration with local residents and small businesses, as the chants and blessings of our indigenous culture bearers lead us; as we stand in solidarity with our Black neighbors, step in rhythm with the African American diaspora, move with our Pacific Islander brothers and sisters, tune in to Spanish-speaking cultures; participate in the strength and innovation of our Asian American family, and honor the legacy and contributions of all. This event will be held on Thámien Ohlone Tribal ethnohistoric territory, which based upon the 18 unratified federal treaties of 1851-1852, includes the unceded ancestral lands of the Muwekma Ohlone Tribe of the San Francisco Bay Area. Mosaic America is a nonprofit organization that strengthens communities, cultivates belonging, and catalyzes inclusion through inter-cultural and co-created art. Our team of artists uses inspiration from their cultures and art forms to collaborate on unique performances and expressions that highlight the common threads of our shared American story  # # #
