Create your own sketchbook or journal using the Cartonera style of bookbinding! This workshop is appropriate for ages 16+ Using recycled cardboard, paper and linen or hemp threads, you will learn to sew a multi section book and personalize the front. This is an indoor workshop, masks and social distancing required. About the artist: Linda Anderson is trained in Printmaking, Book Arts, and Studio Arts. A retired Art specialist for AISD, Linda now teaches and volunteers at the Austin Book Arts Center. Our mission is to promote conservation and reuse in our community through creativity, education and community building.  One of our core values is that Communities are powerful : It’s more fun to play together and collaborate with the experts in our area to conserve vital resources.
