Meet and learn about many reptiles that call Bald Head Island home!
Are there any venomous snakes on BHI? Are alligators good moms? What do box turtles like to eat? Learn the answers to these questions and more, during the BHI Conservancy's Reptile Round Up program. Naturalists will introduce you and your family to the unique adaptations that help island reptiles survive. Participants will be able to meet live reptiles and see turtle shells, snake sheds, and much more! Please note that we are not a sea turtle rehabilitation center and do not have sea turtles in our collection.
Meet at the Conservancy. Children 10 & under must be accompanied by an adult.
Face masks optional. This program takes place in our Education Classroom.

The Bald Head Island Conservancy is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1983. It is located in a unique area within the Smith Island Complex which includes Bald Head, Middle, and Bluff Islands, all of which are bounded by the Cape Fear River and the Atlantic Ocean.
The Conservancy sponsors and facilitates scientific research that benefits coastal communities and provides numerous recreational and educational activities to the public. In coordination with various organizations, partnerships and collaborations, the Conservancy has led the nation in conservation and research efforts and is uniquely poised to become a leader in Barrier Island Conservation world-wide.
