Please join us for our very first community block party! Open to the public & inclusive to all. What is the Freestyle Identity Center? The Freedstyle Identity Center was established to promote cultural competency and secure a haven within the community of the YMCA of San Diego County - Youth & Family Services. The project idea came about as a result of a realization that there is a scarcity of safe havens in North County San Diego for marginalized communities. The Freestyle Identity Center seeks to promote a diverse and inclusive space where no one is hindered or unwelcomed because of their intersecting identities (ex. gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, nationality).  Event Description: What's a better way to kick-off the creation of The FreestyleIdentity Center and the celebration of diversity than an old-fashioned neighborhood block party? The intention of the block party is to cultivate a safe, fun place where we engage in and embrace various cultures and identities.  Please RSVP if you would like to come!
