Where learning and fun are out of this world! Youth DO NOT need to be members of 4-H to participate in this event. **Limited Spaces Available (10 youth maximum ages 8-14)** Cost $10 Participants will provide their lunch and be asked to bring a lunchbox on the day of the workshop. COVID-19 guidelines will be followed (Social distancing and face masks required). Clemson Extension staff will take temperature screenings upon arrival. ***IMPORTANT: If you register multiple children, you will need to complete one registration per child. Date: July 30th Open to youth ages: 8-14 Location: Dillon County Extension Office Time: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. The race to land humans on Mars is on! Our 4-H Journey to Mars workshop will explore sending a mission to Mars. Developed by Google and Clemson Cooperative Extension, J2M is a collection of activities that teaches kids ages 8-14 STEM skills like mechanical engineering, physics, computer science, and agriculture. This 4-H themed space adventure is the perfect topic to empower young people to explore a wide range of subject areas in an exciting 4-H youth workshop, one that allows kids to think about the same problems that today’s top scientists and engineers are working on right now. Featuring eight hands-on activities that teach kids STEM skills like mechanical engineering, physics, and computer science.
