Celebrate Tre's birthday with a wine tasting of his favorite varietal: Zinfandel! In honor of Tre's birthday, we will be tasting his favorite varietal (Zinfandel) including one from Napa from a Black-owned winery. Not to be confused with the sweet White Zinfandel, a red Zinfandel gets its bold profile from moderate tannins and high acidity. A high alcohol content (14-17%) gives it a big body that is perfect for barbecue or other grilled meats and vegetables. The four Zinfandels, all from California, will showcase the varietal from different price points. The tasting will consist of a 3-ounce pour of each wine. The tasting is $25 and will include hors d'oeurvres that pair with the wines. You will also have the option to purchase the bottles at the tasting: individually Brown Estate Napa Valley Zinfandel -- Black-owned ($52), Gamba Family Ranches Zinfandel ($48), Eberle Zinfandel ($33), or Lapis Luna Zinfandel ($16).
