On-the-Bike Skills 101
Coaches learn the progressive steps needed to teach both basic and advanced mountain biking skills, experiential teaching techniques, how to accommodate different learning styles and how to create a positive learning environment for young riders. This 4-hour clinic is outside on your bike so please bring bike, appropriate riding gear for the weather, water and snacks. Taught by NICA-certified skills trainers.
Required for coach license Level 2 and Level 3. Pit Zone: If first time attending, upload for On-the-Bike Skills 101 requirement; if returning, upload for 4 CEUs.

Coaches are the backbone of our program and we want to provide the support and education they need to be successful. The purpose of the NICA Coach License Program is to offer comprehensive training to coaches so that they are equipped to provide quality programming to student-athletes that meets national standards and best practices while developing strong mind, body and character.
The Arizona Cycling Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth development organization, building strong mind, body and character, guided by the principals of inclusivity and equality. The league promotes interscholastic mountain bike racing, provides training and education to coaches and teams, and offers a comprehensive infrastructure to grow youth cycling in a fun, safe and professional manner.
