SALEM, MA — Those looking to come to Salem for at least the start of the Fourth of July weekend will have to go by land instead of by sea after ferry service to and from the city was canceled on Friday because of bad weather.
Boston Harbor Cruises canceled service and Friday and expectations are weather may force a similar cancellation on Saturday.
Go here for service updates throughout the weekend.
Salem is encouraging those coming to the city this weekend to use the commuter rail and public transportation.
MBTA riders are reminded that facemasks remain required on all trains, buses and public transportation stations.
