WAUKESHA, WI— Waukesha police responded to several calls for service on Tuesday through Thursday morning. Here are a few highlights from the police log.
A man called the police Thursday from Main Street saying he was being followed by another man from one bar to the next, that the other person was looking at him and that he felt "freaked out." The other man told police he wasn't following the caller and that he had no idea they were at the same bars at the same time. The caller, who was intoxicated, eventually called an Uber to go home.
A man with a blank look stood in the middle of a road early Thursday. A person called police to check on the main just west of Grandview. The man was just upset over the wind blowing over his garbage can. He was told he should move if a car drives by.
A fight over a mandatory sock rule ensued on Wednesday at Monkey Joe's on Bluemound Road. A staff member approached a customer who was not following the rule, and they got into a fight. The customer was refunded her money and left.
A caller reported a man suspected of doing drugs in a laundromat bathroom Wednesday. She noticed his nose bleeding and said she saw drugs on the counter. The man told police he was in the bathroom because he picked a scab and was bleeding. Police found nothing suspicious.
Someone broke into a Parks and Recreation building Tuesday at 2119 Davidson Road and sprayed a fire extinguisher around.
A group of young people were hanging out and blaring music Tuesday on East Broadway. They told police it was what they called a "rain dance" because it was raining.
A caller said a car was driving into oncoming traffic Monday on East Broadway. The driver told police there was a bug in the car.
