UPDATE: Interstate 43 is fully reopened after the shooting this morning, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said. MILWAUKEE, WI — Reports of shots fired prompted the closure of northbound lanes of Interstate 43 at Keefe Avenue, Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said in a Tweet. The shots were reported around 11:30 a.m. Friday and prompted a closure of the highway soon after. TRAFFIC SAFETY ALERT: I-43 northbound is fully closed due to reports of shots fired on the freeway. All traffic is being diverted from the freeway at Keefe Avenue and rerouted. An investigation is underway.
