Georgia Safe Haven Law and Training The Hope Box is Georgia’s Safe Haven Law experts and training facilitators. The Hope Box travels extensively throughout the state of Georgia training safe haven location providers. This training will ensure that you and your staff are proficiently informed of the law and be better equipped should a mother invoke the Safe Haven Law and relinquish her infant at your site. Attendees will have a clear understanding of appropriate procedures and protocols in which to follow in case of a relinquishment. This training explains the circumstances surround the issue of abandonment, with the goal of changing perspectives of mother’s who considering this option. THE HOPE BOX is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded to address the issues of infant discardment, abandonment, neglect, and abuse through legislation, education, advocacy, and Safe Haven drop centers. THE HOPE BOX is the Safe Haven chapter for the State of Georgia and  was instrumental in amending House Bill 391 in 2017.
