This Community Conversation aims to provide insight into the perspectives of law enforcement officers and the people they are policing. This Community Conversation is hosted by Equity Tallahassee Leon, a Steering Committee dedicated to promoting racial equity in Leon County through social and policy changes. This Steering Committee includes members from Whole Child Leon, the Leon County Health Department, the City of Tallahassee, the Leon County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Public Relations Association Capital Chapter, and Leon County Schools. This event will help law enforcement officers understand the current social climate in Leon County, providing insight into the perspectives of those they police. Equity Tallahassee Leon is hosting this event in partnership with Blue Courage, an organization which provides programming to promote continued education for law enforcement, public safety, corrections/detention and other government and community-based organizations.
