HBCU Farmers Assistive Tech & Empowerment Workshop - Helping Black Farmers to create sustainable careers and to live a healthy life! You are invited to attend the HBCU Assistive Ag Tech & Empowerment Workshop on August 26-27th on the campus of Florida A&M University, in Tallahassee, Florida. This empowerment event is co-hosted by the National AgrAbility Project (NAP), FAMU Cooperative Extension and the LIFE Project and sponsored by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the HBCU College of Plant-Based Lifestyle Medicine. The purpose of the program is to enhance the quality of life for farmers, ranchers, other agricultural workers, veterans, and farm family members impacted by disability, so that they, their families, and their communities continue to succeed in rural America. This year we have developed an awesome roster of workshop seminars and interactive programs that will engage and empower you take your agriculture career to the next level. This year's new co-host, the Life Project, will feature a special health & wellness seminar by a world-renowned physician along with an agriculture expert and lawyer who will speak on the future of agriculture.
