See the attached flier for this summer's Historical Thinking Skills BOOT CAMP! These skills are not being explicitly taught in the classroom! Questions to consider: Are you worried your student would not be able to transition from middle school to high school successfully due to the volume, demands, and complexity of the history curriculum?Is your student having difficulty accessing and comprehending content materials (e.g. informational and primary sources)? Can your student make meaningful historical connections to the present? Can your student annotate texts with purpose: sourcing, contextualizing, and corroborating information?Can your student evaluate the intent of authors and the actions of historical figures on their audiences?Does your student have the ability to develop specific and strong arguments supported by sound reasoning and credible and reliable evidence?
