POINT PLEASANT BEACH, NJ – With summer getting into high gear, the weekends are full with festivals all across our great state filled with great tasting food and delicious tasting drinks for people to try. With rules and restrictions regarding the pandemic finally being lifted, foodies of all types can now spend their summer weekends eating and drinking their way through New Jersey. Here are some of the various food festivals happening around the Garden State this summer. Point Pleasant Beach To Hold 43rd Annual Festival Of The Sea Seafood lovers flock to Point Pleasant Beach every September to indulge in some of the best local seafood the Jersey Shore has to offer, plus it's free to enter. This year's festival takes place on Sept 18 along Arnold Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach. NJ State BBQ Championships To Be Held In North Wildwood The grills and smokers will be fired up in North Wildwood on July 10 as the resort town hosts the New Jersey State Barbecue Championships from July 9 through 11. The festival has free admission, and there will be live music, craft beer, and live cooking demonstrations. Vegan Food Festival Returns To AC Boardwalk Healthy and compassionate eaters can rejoice as the Atlantic City Vegan Food Festival returns to the boardwalk outside the Showboat in Atlantic City. Chester To Host To The Cheers In Chester Fest In July Whether you enjoy a cold beer, a nice glass of wine, or a whiskey neat, the Cheers in Chester Fest on July 24 from 3 to 7 p.m. It's also a fundraiser for the Chester First Aid, and tickets can be found on the event's website. A Beer Festival On The USS New Jersey? Why Not? The New Jersey Beer Festival Aboard The Battleship New Jersey takes place on July 24 from 1 to 5 p.m. in Camden aboard the USS New Jersey.
