Description
MORRISTOWN, NJ — The Morris School District's technology team donated 40 Chromebooks and chargers to Family Promise. The Morris Plains nonprofit helps homeless families in Morris County get back on their feet.
One of the final steps after housing a family is to equip them with technology for their own needs and their children's. Recipients will use the Chromebooks to write résumés, search for work and access academic information about their children.
Technology Director Erica Hartman and technician Adam Casadevall spent time with Family Promise staff to review steps on how to use a Chromebook and create a Gmail account. Next, the district will provide virtual support on topics such as accessing district portals and keeping students and families safe online.
