MILL VALLEY, CA – A Mill Valley library event scheduled for next week will highlight a storied author with local ties.
The Wednesday night virtual event will feature Mark Watts leading a discussion about his philosopher/religious scholar father Alan Watts.
Among Alan Watts' most notable works is "The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are."
Alan Watts lived near Mill Valley in Druid Heights at 310 Laverne from 1956 to 1963 according to the Mill Valley Historical Society.
Mark Watts will share stories about travels with his father and talks about their unique relationship, their time in Mill Valley, and the many ways in which he continues to preserve and share the invaluable legacy of one of the most transformative cultural icons of the 20th century.
The online event will be held Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
