Description

Press release from the Cobb County Government: July 2, 2021 Cobb County temporarily stopped testing tornado sirens during the recent pandemic, worried people were already on edge and because many we partner with to help confirm tests were no longer at their workplace. Some issues normally detected during testing have since popped up, including battery issues at one site that caused the siren to make unusual noises. So the testing of Cobb's 74 weather warning sirens will resume with the first Wednesday at noon test on July 7th. It might be pushed back in the event of inclement weather, monitor this page and other sites for updates! This press release was produced by the Cobb County Government.
