BROOKHAVEN, GA — In observance of the Fourth of July holiday this weekend, most federal, state and local government offices are closed Monday. There will be no mail delivery. Many businesses are open but with different hours — so it's not a bad idea to check before heading out. Here's a breakdown of how the holiday could impact your routine: DeKalb County government offices are closed Monday, July 5.Municipal offices for the city of Brookhaven are closed Monday, July 5.The DeKalb County Public Library system is closed on the Fourth of July as well as Monday, July 5. Normal hours will resume July 6.Brookhaven garbage pickup: The DeKalb County Sanitation Department is closed Monday, so there will be no garbage pickup.
