WANTED: Pole Loading Technician for 2-3 week project *****Training and Equipment Provided***** We need images taken of 700 telephone poles in Stewartville, MN, Rochester, MN and Victory, MN. The more images you take the more you earn! Pole Loading Technician will perform topographical and aerial (utility pole attachments) surveys for new wireline utility placement. The ability to identify existing power, CATV, telephone and fiber-optic facilities is key to effectively performing in this role. This position will require the employee to work alone as a one-person survey crew. Work shall be performed in all weather conditions that will not jeopardize employee safety. Pole Loading Technician responsible for maintaining a record of land areas surveyed and shall upload survey data files daily. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Perform field survey to capture pole and midspan details for existing utility poles using IKE 4 equipment and related software. Ability to work as one-person survey crew. Drive own vehicle to locations to perform the survey. Reviews maps & plans necessary to complete high volume work schedule. Engage with home owners to allow property access for accurate data capture if needed. General Skills/Experience: Familiar with typical outside plant survey equipment IKE, tools, and technology such as measuring stick, laser range finder, and GPS. (IKE experience desirable, but *****training will be provided*****.) Responsible and responsive. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver license. Working knowledge of Microsoft software. Excellent organizational skills. Background check required. Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
