Press release from the Atlanta Police Department: 06/25/2021 211760133 Preliminary Information: On 6/25/21, at approximately 1:07 am, a male victim walked into the Zone 1 Precinct and reported he had been kidnapped and robbed at gunpoint. The victim stated the incident occurred throughout multiple locations inside the city. Preliminary Investigation indicates the victim was driving near the location of 2468 Spring St NW when his vehicle was struck by a dark Sedan. The victim stated he exited his vehicle to inspect for damages when he was approached by a male suspect wearing black clothing and a hoodie. The suspect produced a handgun and ordered the victim back into his vehicle. The suspect then entered the victim's vehicle and demanded him to drive to an ATM machine at the location of 612 Lee St. According to the victim, the suspect refused to use the walk-up ATM at the location, so he demanded the victim to drive to an ATM machine with a drive-through at the location of 1071 Chattahoochee. The victim was then forced to withdraw $2700 in cash. The suspect ordered the victim to drive to another ATM machine at 1120 Fairburn Rd SW, but the victim was unable to withdraw any cash from that location. The victim was then forced to drive to 2071 Arlington Circle NW where the suspect fled the scene. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
