Please read this, Please Don’t Flag This and thank you for opening this post.. We, each amazing one of us, are all members of the Portland Family. We each share the same sunrise and sunset, we all share the streets, we all shop at the very same stores, and enjoy a meal out together at the same restaurants, what matter does it make what color the skin that covers our bodies is, or the shape of our eyes, or the names that we’re given to us ??? If you’re reading this and you have a difficult time with a black person, make it your goal to go find two different black people you don’t know, and get to know them, ask them where they were born, ask them where they went to school ask them what makes them hurt, ask them what makes them feel silly. If you’re a black person and you’re reading this make it your goal to go find two white people that you don’t know and get to know them m, ask them where did you go to school at, do you go to church, what kind of food do you like, when is your birthday and then make a note of it, get their text number and write them notes. The problem is that we don’t know each other, if we take some time to decide to step out and get to know each other we’re gonna love each other, we’re all goofy, we’re all silly, we’re all sad sometimes, we all laugh, we all have dreams for a better tomorrow, we are all way more alike than we are different. Please Portland, let’s be truly so much more of what we are ….. let’s be Family !!
