Beginner musician seeks band mates

Hey there! I'm a beginner violinist- I'm at the point where I can squeak out a few songs and shred a little on the electric. I sing pretty well, and my influences are all over the place. Punk,Hip hop, dance, lounge, country, goth, oldies, classical, avant garde and classic rock. I'm open to learning other things if you want to teach. Want to get together in some park and see if we have musical chemistry? I'm not ever expecting to break into the top 40 but weekly practice and maybe a couple local gigs at some point if we make something cool to make the people dance.
