We are looking for a great addition to our family-owned business. Our team is small, but we do great things! Working in Kenosha for 20 years, we provide rental apartments and homes to the Kenosha area! We have a staff of 8 people; each role is different, but we work together for the same results. The job offers flexibility, steady work year round! Position Description: We are seeking experienced flooring installer who is willing to travel in Kenosha and who is responsible for installing commercial flooring products while operating basic tools and flooring equipment. Person must have 15+ plus years of flooring installation experience. Other traits as far as painting, electrical, and plumbing a huge plus! HABLAMOS ESPAÑOL!! Principal Responsibilities: • Installs carpet, ceramic, vinyl planks, and other flooring as directed • Mixes and applies required compounds to join and adhere foundation/flooring material • May be required to perform a variety of calculations related to surface area, cubic volume and material quantities • Sweeps, scrapes, sands, or cleans base surfaces to correct imperfections that may show through the covering • Determines traffic areas and decides location of seams as applicable • Uses and maintains personal hand tools, portable power tools, and stationary power tools in a safe manner • Basic knowledge of tool and equipment safety, ability to identify and correct environmental or other workplace hazards • Willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from project leader • MUST have own transportation (Driving to job sites required) • MUST have own needed tools • We provide supplies/material to finish job (delivered to you) Experience/Flooring Technical Skills Required: • Floor covering experience required • Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work; experience with commercial/retail settings preferred, but not required • Requires strenuous physical work with the ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds independently and 100+ pounds as a team lift, including frequent work on hands/knees, while pushing and pulling, bending and twisting, while performing physical labor that is essential to completing the project • Must possess the skills to multi-task, work in a team setting, and meet deadlines • Ability to read and understand remodel list Other Information: • Pay is based on Experience – will speak regarding during initial phone interview • Monday – Friday: 8:30 – 5PM • Weekends OFF • Extra hours offered during busy times • Most holidays OFF • Weekly vacation (1 year term) • Birthday OFF • End of year bonus (1 year term) • 30 MIN Lunch
