Hello! I'm new to the area and hoping to meet up with a band or some good people to play with. I have a busy career outside of music so not looking to "make it big". I spent several years in Los Angeles playing around so not aiming for that - - just looking to have fun with some other musicians and eventually play out. I am open to covers and/or original material. Lots of experience playing live and played some of the cool LA Venues - Whisky, Viper Room, The Gig, Good Hurt, The Mint, etc. Willing to play with anyone, but my "peer group" is going to be 35+. I'm open to playing all kinds of things and have been inspired by everything. Some of my favorite acts are RHCP, Janes Addiction, Guns n Roses, Van Halen, QOTSA, Tool, RATM, Metallica, Mastodon, Prince, Massive Attack, Eagles, 90s rock, funk, metal and punk. Some of my favorite bassists are: Flea, Eric Avery, Nick Oliveri, Sting, Cliff Burton, Rick James, Prince, Ben Shepherd, Justin Chancellor/Paul d'Amour, Tim Commerford. I have have pro gear. I can also play guitar if wanted/needed. I can sing back-up or lead vox as needed and I like multi-vocalist bands. I can contribute to songwriting and/or compliment songwriters. I'm mostly just looking to have fun with some like-minded people and make some noise on weekends and see where it goes. Not interested in drug or alcohol problems - - strictly recreational stuff. Mostly hoping that there might be people in similar situation as me that have professional careers but passion for playing and music and want to jam.
