Description
Growing ecommerce department in a well known family owned business seeks to add to our packing department. The packing and shipping associate’s primary role is to process customer orders to ensure accurate, safe and timely transit to the destination. This includes quoting shipping rates, creating labels, updating information, boxing, packaging, crating, follow up and any other functions necessary during or after the shipping process.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Safely and accurately package and ship orders from website and retail sources for delivery, make sure address, insurance and other delivery information is correctly input, printed and filed.
· Use judgement to determine the most cost-effective way to package and ship items while maintaining quality of service. Notify management of mis-quotes or pricing differences between quoted prices and actual.
· Safely move items from sales areas to the packing room, deliver incoming mail and parcels to their respective departments.
· Maintain overall shipping area cleanliness and keep track of and maintain stock levels on packaging materials through ordering.
· Assist sales by providing shipping quotes, and resolving shipping problems (damage claims, tracking number request, re-routes, etc.)
· Any other responsibilities required by management, may periodically be asked to answer phones, attend live chat or other administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
· High School degree or equivalent
· Packing or Order Processing experience.
· Computer literate
· Self-motivated and organized.
Able to lift/move 50 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time M-F 9:00 - 5:30

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour based on experience.
