Brand New Men's Barbershop Chorus Looking For Singers

We are a group of men from the Cloquet area that are looking to start up a men's barbershop chorus. The goal is to grow large enough to join the Barbershop Harmony Society as an official chorus, allowing us to compete within the Land O Lakes District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. This will be a place to get together as men and harmonize and have fun. We are also hoping to be an asset to our community and provide entertainment and service throughout the region. What is barbershop? Barbershop singing consists of four parts; tenor, lead, baritone, and bass. The lead sings the melody, the tenor sings above the lead, the bass sings the low notes, and the baritone can sing above or below the lead but will generally sing the note that completes the chord. These four parts combine into a rich harmony. We are meeting regularly on Sunday nights from 6pm - 8pm beginning on July 11th. We will be meeting in the basement of the VFW in Carlton, Mn. Men of any age are welcome to sing with us.
