Native Edge Landscapes is seeking a year round, full time Assistant Mechanic to work with the Shop Supervisor to repair and maintain small landscape equipment, landscape construction equipment and non CDL commercial trucks to maximize crew productivity and minimize downtime. Shift hours will be Mon-Fri 7am to 3:30pm or 9am-5:30pm with some Saturday morning work. Weekly schedule is 40 hours per work. Responsibilities -Maintain and Repair Trucks, Large Equipment (ie Skid Loaders, Mini Excavators) and Small Equipment (including fluid checks and blade replacements). -Help organize and maintain yard fuel storage and shop in a safe and orderly environment to prevent accidents, damage or tool loss. -Ensure all vehicles comply with DOT requirements by completing and tracking necessary repairs. -Perform maintenance and record it in the Asset Panda mobile phone app. -Respond to service calls by going to job sites to perform necessary repairs. -Purchase parts to complete repairs (following company purchasing procedures). -Prepare trucks for the snow removal season and maintain/repair snow removal equipment. Requirements -Valid Colorado driver’s license with Good driving record -Effective time management to ensure repairs and maintenance occur in a timely manner -Ability to perform physical work in hot and cold temperatures occasionally during snow events -Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with coworkers and supervisor -Ability to lift 50 lbs (100 lbs with assistance), carry, stoop, bend, climb, kneel, walk. -Ability and willingness to learn company software/mobile phone apps such as: Google Sheets, email, Google Calendar, Mobile Time Clock, Asset Panda -Must be able to work (mostly outdoors) up to 10 hours per day -Legally authorized to work in United States, we participate in the E-Verify program To Apply for this job About Native Edge Landscapes Who we are Established in 2001 in Boulder, CO we provide professional landscape design-build and maintenance services to Boulder County’s residential clientele, HOAs, mixed use properties and retirement communities.
