Now Hiring Experienced : ~Masonry Apprentice 1-2yrs ~Lead Masons 2-5 yrs. ~Master Masons 5-7+ yrs. Introduction: MCP Chimney & Masonry is currently seeking a Mason. This position also performs a variety of duties to assist with the maintenance of chimneys, and equipment as well as other non-masonry work as required. Works weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. • Performs restoration masonry work at the highest level • Works with and able to match mortar, bricks, pavers, block, stone and plaster to construct or repair walls, walks, seating areas, curbs and similar structures • Demonstrates a working knowledge of the techniques and materials of historic masonry including the use of appropriate bonds and joint types, hand-made brick and appropriate lime mortars • Ability to diagnose and resolve masonry deterioration and failure • Capacity to read historic masonry in order to identify changes, repairs, and alterations over time • Able to interpret and work from architectural drawings • Able to mix mortar and concrete. • Provides support for all construction activities: Digs ditches, mixes concrete and mortar, transports bricks, block and soil • Works directly with outside consultants, contractors, masons and laborers with all aspects of masonry projects • Completes service orders and maintains daily records of activities • Operates, maintains and secures all tools and equipment • Practices and maintains safety precautions and procedures in all activities • Performs other related duties as requested by immediate supervisor and carries out or directs the completion of special assignments Qualifications: • 1-5 years experience in masonry-related trades to include restoration • Valid driver’s license and has reliable transportation to and from work • Not afraid of heights • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills • Equipment experience: Machinery, assorted hand, power and air tools and saws Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour Benefits: • Dental Insurance • Health Insurance • Sick Leave • Referral Program Schedule: • Monday to Friday • Overtime COVID-19 considerations: We are providing our technicians with full PPE and interacting with our customers virtually wherever possible.
