Description
As the title says, I'm looking for David Gilmour, but it appears that he doesn't want to be found. so I'm hunting for a reasonable facsimile who can fill the bill.
So here's the deal: after almost a year and a half of inactivity, we're re-forming we're "usandthem". We're a Pink Floyd tribute band, and we need a lead guitarist to fill out our lineup. Also it's kind of necessary that you'd be able to contribute vocally (at least backup vocals), but as you can probably appreciate, what we need - first and foremost - is a guitarist who is able to replicate the tone and fluidity of Gilmour's leads.
Professional attitude is a must; age is not as important, but for the record - and if it matters - you'll be playing mostly with musicians who listened to that stuff when it was new, when we were young adults - 'Nuff Said.
Now let me clear about this: we're not going to be playing originals - this is a tribute act, which we may expand into other areas of '70s' progressive rock. So if you're looking for someplace to share your artistic vision with the world - this ain't going to be it! However, if you'd like a chance to make some decent money, playing a couple hours a night in a class venue (as opposed to being the new, 4-hours-per-night house band at the "Dew Drop Inn", working for $100, split up 5 ways) - in other words, if you'd actually like to be a professional (i.e. "paid") musician for a change - then maybe this is for you.
Send me an email or shoot me a call or text if you're interested, and we'll talk. Thanks.
