MON-FRI between 8am-2pm
As a flagger you will be directing traffic through a construction site or other temporary traffic control zones past an area using gestures, signs or flags. Your job as a flagger is to communicate with the motorists and other flaggers to monitor the flow of traffic. Responsibilities include paying attention to detail, working well with others, and communicating at all times. You will be using hand signals and a stop and slow paddle to communicate with the motorists, and a handheld radio to communicate with the other flagger(s).
Responsibilities
Setup a flagman station as needed (will be trained)
Direct Traffic
Communicate with the other flagger as to when to stop and release traffic.
Use stop and slow paddle to control traffic
Communicating with the construction crew or the Traffic control technician if there are any issues.
Removing cones and signs off the road as needed upon completion of construction work.
Must remain in post at all times until relieved for break
Requirements
Must be a certified flagger (we can certify the right candidate)
Ability to stand during long periods of time
Ability to work during unexpected weather conditions
Excellent communication skills
