On the streets for 6 weeks ... LESTER now needs a home.

Lester is 12 pounds and right around 10 years old. He was allegedly dumped, and then was running stray in a neighborhood for six weeks until some very nice people caught him. He's turned out to be a very sweet fellow, getting along with all the dogs in their home, and even is cool with the cats! Because the family cannot add another dog permanently to their setting, we (a rescue) are seeking a new home for him. We'd like to get him a good check up and a dental (teeth need cleaning), and will update his vaccines before placing him in a new home. He has no lower teeth except his canines, so he does need soft food (no hard dry kibble). A modest adoption fee will apply, but the rescue will pay for the bulk of his vetting so he starts his golden years in good shape :) Lester is an indoor dog and wants to be a spoiled family member. If you are a good match for him, please send a note. He'd do best in a calm setting (no little kids, no rowdy kids).
