Currently being fostered in Whatcom county: Dakota is a 3-4 month old lab mix originally from Texas. She's currently 30 lbs and has room to grow into those gigantic ears. She is shy at first with people but will quickly assert herself. She has some interest with other dogs, and would do best with medium to larger dogs who can be assertive but still patient with her or as an only pup with some socialization. Potty training is a work in progress, but accidents in the home may happen as she is still a puppy. She is also in the process of being crate trained, and to date has not soiled herself in her crate. She can manage about 6 hours at night before she needs to potty. Impulse control is also being worked on. She knows to sit and wait to be let outside and inside. Presently she is new to being on a leash. She is smart and learns quickly. Dakota is sweet to whomever is holding the treats, and the foster is working to mix up the rewards with praise so that she will be easier to train. She is spayed, microchipped, and comes with two months of heartworm preventative.
