Does Anyone know what this Gadget is?

Hey Guys, Does anyone know what this device is in the first 4 photos? i thought it was part of this in shower radio that i just found from years ago in the same bag, but after inserting batteries, i can‘t seem to get it to do anything. It does turn on and light up and i tried the line-in to see if it plays audio, but nothing seems to happen. The antenna pulls up to receive a signal, but still nothing. But i still think that it’s related to the Shower Radio, maybe as a signal extender out of the shower to improve the sound? It would be nice to know before i toss it out? Any ideas?
