Young all black silkie rooster… not friendly LOL Silkies are usually easy to handle but this guy takes his job as a flock protector seriously and can even tough it out with full sized chickens. He’s got a nice pretty big eye too. Could be a good sire for a silkie flock, especially if they free range during the day. We would keep him but, unlike our other rooster, the anti-crowing collar does not work for him. Trying to keep neighbors happy with less noise (even though his crow his not that loud).
