Please read the following information below regarding accommodations at IslandWood. To register for lodging, click the green Register button, on the right. Please be aware that lodging restrictions are subject to change depending on Washington states COVID-19 restrictions. ABOUT ISLANDWOOD IslandWood was founded in 1999 as an environmental learning center created to improve access to meaningful, nature-based learning experiences for our region's children. In the nearly two decades since, we have expanded the ways our work is advancing innovative and inclusive education that fosters greater environmental health, a sustainable future, and social and ecological wellbeing for all. Our place-based, experiential learning programs offered on our 250-acre campus on Bainbridge Island, in Seattle neighborhoods, and at the King County Brightwater Center serve more than 10,000 students every year. We have deepened our impact by co-developing science curriculum for Seattle Public Schools, providing teacher training in Next Generation Science Standards, offering innovative Master’s level graduate programs in education, and through policy engagement and authentic community partnerships. We are also a resource and gathering space for community-building and education, offering summer day camps; free and low-cost community programs; and conferences and retreat services for non-profits and corporations. IslandWood is a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization. ACCOMMODATIONS AT ISLANDWOOD Lodge Check-in 4:00pm / Check-out 11:00am Northwest-style lodges house guest rooms with a combination of single occupany, double occupancy and bunk rooms that can accommodate up to 6 guests. All guest rooms have a private bathroom. Each lodge contains a spacious log-beam great room with a stone fireplace and cozy seating areas, laundry facilitates, and a small refrigerator. GUEST ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE IslandWood is open for guest arrivals and lodge check-in on Friday from 4:00PM - 11:00PM and beginning at 7:00AM on Saturday. IslandWood closes for the evening at 11:00PM on Friday and 12:00AM on Saturday. When planning your trip to IslandWood, please ensure that your travel arrangements allow you to arrive within this time frame. Lodge check-out is at 11:00AM on Sunday. LODGE ROOM ASSIGNMENTS The wedding couple is responsible for assigning specific rooms and lodges. Please contact them directly if you have questions related to room assignments. ALCOHOL POLICY Our Washington State liquor license allows us to serve wine and beer in designated areas only. Guests are not allowed to bring any outside alcohol on our campus. SMOKING AND MARIJUANA USE We are a smoke-free campus, except for two designated smoking areas in the parking lot. Marijuana and other drug use are strictly prohibited on the IslandWood campus. FOOD & BEVERAGE Please note IslandWood does not have an on-site restaurant and operates as a banquet facility with pre-scheduled group meals and bars. CANCELLATION POLICY Cancellation of individual guest lodging is subject to a $40 processing fee per room. Lodging cancelled within 72 hours of the event is non-refundable. FEES For each Room Reservation through EventBrite, the buyer is charged an additional fee that covers our credit card and processing charges.
