Currently, our Avon, Massachusetts Regional Distribution Center seeks a Full Time Warehouse Clerk. Core hours are anticipated to be between 7:30am and 4:30pm, Monday to Friday General warehouse duties to include order picking, packing, and shipping, preparing shipment documents, communication with freight carriers, FedEx, UPS, other small parcel and LTL, processing cycle counts, housekeeping, forklift, electric order picker, stocking, safety and maintenance.. Applies basic skills and may develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization. Duties and tasks are standardized. Works under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish tasks. How you will do it • Pick, pack and ship parts according to shipping procedures and work instructions • Required to use a RF Scanner • Load and unload materials in warehouse and receive materials into assigned storage bin • Accurately loads and safely moves materials to ensure timely and complete deliveries • Other projects/work as assigned by supervisor What we look for Required • High School Diploma or GED • Able to follow directions and policies of the department • Goal oriented attention to detail and strong organization skills • Basic reading, writing and math skills required • Effective oral communication skills with internal customers • Requires long hours of standing and bending • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. in some material handler's duties • Ability to operate a forklift, order picker, and basic hand tools • Excellent attendance record Who we are Johnson Controls is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
