Description

I have a great 9 month old female Treeing Walker Coonhound and black lab mix to rehome. 3/4 Coonhound and 1/4 Lab. She has the coonhound build and personality. Here’s more about her: • Good with kids, grew up with my three little boys and slept in my sons bed as a puppy. • Crate trained • House trained • Good with horses and cows • Great watch dog at night; very alert • Great with the 4wheeler, follows along • Knows come, sit, no, leave it • Waits for cue to eat • Waits for cue to leave crate and go out the door • Good with our other dog (female) and my sisters two male heelers • Good with our cats • Has had a healthy diet of Beneful Purina dog food and raw bones from the butcher • Up to date on vaccines until February The reason we need to find her a new home is because of her prey drive. She has gotten several of our chickens when we have them free ranged and got our pet rabbit that got out of his hutch. We live on a farm and we were hoping she would help scare off coyotes but she’s gotten more of our small animals than the coyotes have, ironically. With some training she could be a good hunting dog. She’s a great family dog now if you don’t have little animals out and around. For whatever reason she leaves the cats alone. She plays with them but has never tried to harm them. Her other fault is she sometimes jumps on visitors. We’ve been working on that and she’s been getting better. With some age on her and some more training I’m sure she’ll get over that. We live 2.5 miles east of Reddington. Let me know if you’d like to meet her. $300.00 rehoming fee just to recoup some expenses. Serious inquiries only, please.
