The award winning Wastewater Treatment Plant at the City of Yakima has an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Maintenance Specialist! This position performs mechanical and custodial operation of the wastewater facility buildings, equipment, grounds, process structures, and other farm related tasks associated to maintaining riparian vegetation and floodplain habitat acreage. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Any combination of education or experience equivalent to three (3) years of experience in commercial building maintenance, including custodial, and/or grounds maintenance related work. Lead or supervisory experience, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating and refrigeration, industrial welding or mechanical experience is preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid Washington State Driver's License. Requires Public Pesticide Operator’s Certificate, Basic First Aid/CPR Certification, and Forklift Operator’s License within six months of employment.
