Brush Mowing and Field Maintenance

Jobs

Fitchburg MA

Description

Looking for one strong, athletic, honest hard working person to help maintain our fields on an 80 acre farm in Fitchburg, MA. You must be an experienced user of typical mowing machines. At your disposal, and to do the job, you will have a self propelled brush hog, a large cab enclosed and air conditioned Kubota Tractor with a three point hitch and many attachments: an excavator, a wood chipper, a cultivator, a disc harrow, a roto tiller amongst others. You will also have access to a brand new 30 horse power Gravely zero turn mower and must be well versed in how to manipulate and maintain this machine. We have forty acres of field that need cutting but much of this we can do ourselves. What we really are looking for is someone who can maintain the peripheries of the fields and fence lines, cutting down the ever encroaching brush and weeds and weed wacking the slopes where the four wheeled machines cannot go. We are looking for someone who can be almost as committed to our farm as we are and who seeks to beautify it and is inherently rewarded by doing so. That said, we are willing to pay well above minimum wage for the right person. This position has room for creativity. Start a new garden; excavate a pond; clear logging trails in the forest. You will have two six hour days, more than enough time to do the field and brush mowing so bring us your ideas and desires as concerns this piece of farmland. You need to have two full days available, probably Saturday and Sunday but any two will do. You will need to furnish us with references (three) and agree to a background check. You will be compensated 20.00 per hour starting and, if you do the stupendous job we are looking for, you can expect various perks and raises as we are able to afford them. If you are interested you should reply to this ad with a description of your background and your skills. Emails without phone numbers will be deleted. Please let us know when is the best time to reach you by phone so that we can set up an interview if your skills are in line with what we want for our farm.
