Looking to form a modern, jammy jazz trio. I have a good guitarist lined up, and am looking for a good electric bassist or keyboard player. I am partial to the trio format so it's one or the other, keys or bass -or someone who does both! Definitely electric bass. Upright is cool, of course, but I have a certain sound in mind that requires e-bass. Looking to practice every other week or so and gig monthly at most. We have jobs, families... However, we are both skilled and dead serious about playing gigs. This is not to just hang out in my basement and jam. You must have some jazz training as we are looking to play a combination of standards (with our take of course) in both jammy styles as well as be-bop & hard-bop swing.
