Christmas in July Scavenger Hunt and Fundraiser for my brother Deck yourself up in Christmas gear and scavenger hunt to help us support our family member, Rick Couture who is battling stage four prostate cancer. Run or walk the scavenger hunt. Distance is 3 miles in length. - FREE to current Run Walk Brew members - $10 for non-members - Raffle drawings all night - 1 complimentary draft beer - The person with the most festive outfit wins a prize ABOUT RICK Rick was diagnosed with stage four prostate cancer which has spread to his bones. He is currently on hormone therapy that he takes daily and gets injections every 3 months. It’s not a permanent solution and there is no cure however, he continues to be optimistic. Currently, he cannot work and has a very hard time walking. Rick is one of the hardest-working people I know. He's been at the Manchester Health Department for many, many years and without knowing what the future holds, he cannot continue to work. The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many families across the globe, Rick and his wife Madeleine are no exception. Madeleine was the office manager at Kiddie Corner Day Care for over 20 years. The daycare struggled during the pandemic and therefore was forced to close its doors. Madeleine is now out of a job and needs to stay home to take care of Rick. Rick needs care 24/7.
