We are seeking qualified candidates with a minimum of 3-5 years Shipping/Receiving and Material Handling experience. Candidates must possess the following skills to successfully perform the duties of this position. Work hours are 10:00 am until 7:00 pm (regular time) Pay rate is $18-20 DOE - Read, Write and Speak English clearly - Good Computer skills - Good Organization skills - Good Forklift / Pallet Jack skills - Good Scheduling skills - Good Communication skills - Detail Oriented - Mature Thinker - MUST HAVE previous experience with forklift operations, shipping and receiving, LTL loads, UPS, FedEx, etc. Must be familiar with Bills of Lading and packing lists. Must be well-spoken and have experience communicating on the phone and email -Be familiar with standard procedures for packaging, labeling, weight, dimensions and pallets The daily duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: -Accept and process incoming shipments from customers or vendors - Safely unload / Load material and packages - Inspect all incoming freight and packages and report any damage immediately -Determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed -Assist with material handling needs -Check all shipments and report shortages and defects to the appropriate work groups -Follow up on all daily shipments to make sure they ship on time -Maintain necessary documentation and forward to appropriate groups for all shipments - Assist in assembly of orders and prepare all paperwork and labeling for shipment -Verify quantities and count independently; as required -Perform a visual inspection of products being shipped and the required data entry - Perform Deliveries / Pickups in company supplied vehicle as needed (Backup role) -Learn to understand and comply with all safety and environmental requirements and company policies This position offers a stable work environment, competitive pay and opportunity for growth.
