Shastina to Camp Lockett, the authentic legacy of California remains an open secret and certainly not in the current Standards and Practices of the California State Education System. Together, we can share our authentic California Afro-Latino Heritage and not be embarrassed or ashamed of our unique journey towards freedom. September 9, 1850, a very unique milestone that forever changed the entire United States of America. The Golden State of California remains worthy of continuing to lead the way forming a more perfect union. Let us celebrate, together again.
