An introduction to milk chemistry, steaming, and pouring techniques for latte art.
Important Note: Because this workshop takes place behind the counter and uses potentially dangerous espresso equipment, all attendees must be 18 years of age or older.
This 2 hour workshop is an introduction to the knowledge and techniques for pouring high quality latte art.
We'll start by discussing basic milk chemistry. We'll then explore differences when steaming non-dairy milks.
The bulk of this workshop will be hands-on at the steam wand where we'll practice proper steaming and learn how to pour a dot, a heart, and a rosetta.
While perfecting your latte art takes time and practice, this workshop is a great primer to get you pointed in the right direction.
