Fresno State Professor of Cello Thomas Loewenheim and Hatem Nadim collaborate on an evening of sonatas by Chopin, Shostakovich, and Francœur The 2021 FOOSA Festival continues with a faculty recital featuring Dr. Thomas Loewenheim and Hatem Nadim. These long-time collaborators present a rare chamber work by celebrated pianist Frédéric Chopin, a big Romantic work by Shostakovich written in his earlier years, and an 18th-century sonata by Louis Francœur. The FOOSA summer faculty recitals, held since 2013, represent the finest in solo and chamber music performances available in Fresno, and are presented free of charge as part of FOOSA’s mission.
