Hands four! All aboard! Welcome back to CHARLOTTE, NC CONTRA DANCING! Join us at Dilworth United Methodist Church, upstairs at Langford Hall - Saturday, July 24th 2021 — 8pm until 11pm. Beginners lesson starts at 7:30. Admission $15 for everyone. Please RSVP here on Eventbrite for free. We will collect monies at the door. Due to limited capacity, walk ins will be limited. Signing up on Eventbrite is highly encouraged! We will be dancing to the live music of TBA with Dean Hooks, Jr. calling. Capacity is limited to 100 dancers at this time. We expect to sell out so if you're interested, get your tickets NOW! Vaccinations are strongly encouraged as we want to keep everyone safe as possible. Masks are optional. Hand sanitizer will be available (as always). Please come out to join us another time if you are feeling sick. We will have water at the event, but feel free to bring your own water bottles and dress for summer dancing. We can't wait to see you there! Oh! and in case you were wondering... OUR COVID 19 POLICIES Charlotte Contra Dancers prioritizes the health and safety of our dancers and community. In accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines, we have instituted the following policies to help transition back to dancing as safely as possible. 1. We request no person attend who has had close contact with, symptoms of, or tested positive for COVID 19 within the preceeding 10 days. 2. We ask that all attendees, including dancers and non-dancers, provide their name and contact information when entering the dance. 3. We request that any dancer who shows symptoms or tests positive for COVID 19 within the 10 days following a dance contact the board to notify them of this. Charlotte Contra Dancers understands the unique situation and circumstances of each community member and emphasizes personal responsibility during this transition back to dancing. We encourage dancers to make their own decisions regarding vaccinations and masks, neither are required to attend this dance. These policies will continue to be updated in accordance with evolving public health data, expert recommendations and all applicable laws and restrictions.
