DESCRIPTION: Construction-Maintenance Team Manager needed to lead a 3-5 person workman team for a family-run luxury apartment building company ~100 Units across 5-6 buildings in Cow Hollow, Pacific Heights, and Russian Hill in San Francisco, CA. Construction-Maintenance Manager oversees and PARTICIPATES HANDS-ON in all construction, maintenance request, and vacant unit turnover projects. Required HARD Skills & Experience: -Interior & Exterior Paint - spray, roll, hand. Prime - 2-coat. Touch up. -Carpentry, Framing - molding, fabrication -Basic Electric - fixtures, rewire, panels -Basic Plumbing - fixtures, rooter, fittings, leak remediation -Computer/Smartphone savvy - available via text, phone, and email -Stone & Tile - Kitchen & Bath remodel, plaster, grout, & tile cutting & fitting. Caulking. -Demolition, Hauling, & Disposal -Drywall & Plaster fill in. Required Soft Skills: -MUST BE RESPONSIBLE, and MATURE - multiple professional references and a clean driving and police record required. Regular construction project progress reports verbally, and via text & email. -COMMUNICATES CLEARLY - Ideally Proficient in English AND Spanish (preferred) in-person, via text, and e-mail. Must also be a "team player", ready to learn from/with existing construction teammates. Must also be able to work independently. -ASSUMES RESPONSIBILITY and TAKES DIRECTION from Manager/Supervisors, and Ownership. Works well with management. -RESPECTFUL with a GOOD Can-Do ATTITUDE and work ethic. Enjoy working with people. Patient and friendly demeanor and showing RESPECT to others is an absolute MUST. Always polite and helpful -ORGANIZE daily schedules and prioritize projects and work in a logical way.Work in a neat and clean manner, always cleaning up after yourself. Take responsibility for and pride in your work. Ability to work with timesheets, collect receipts, allocate expenses, and track your time. -DEDICATION to the job and LOYALTY the people you work for -DETAIL ORIENTED: Capable of mapping all details and necessary processes to complete the project and. Will ask for clarification, assistance from supervisors & colleagues, ownership when unable to resolve issues on their own. Won’t let unresolved issues fall through the cracks. -SF Local Knowledge (Preferred): Know local vendors, stores, neighborhoods, and have an ear to the ground via NextDoor/Citizen platforms. Additional QUALIFICATIONS: Highest qualified candidates will have a minimum of 7-10 years construction experience in property management, real estate, maintenance, and building management. Must have a working smartphone, basic computer literacy. Some familiarity with Google Docs/Workspace (G-Suite). A hard worker available for flexible hours. No job too small or too hard. 24/7 emergency on-call. A working car or truck and a clean driving record. Must be mature and able to calmly negotiate difficult tenants. Team Player: Works well as a member of a lean and collaborative team.
