GULFPORT, FL — Gulfport police have arrested a 20-year-old man after he was accused of posting a video of himself on a public social media site in which he is shown pointing a semiautomatic gun at Gulfport police cruisers and Pinellas County public buses. According to police, Ter'on Jerome Forrester was arrested Wednesday and charged with written threats to kill or conduct a mass shooting, a second-degree felony. Police said Forrester posted a video of himself on a social media site Saturday aiming a semiautomatic pistol with an extended magazine inserted and a scope attached at two marked Gulfport police cruisers, two Pinellas Suncoast Transportation Authority buses and several other vehicles. The safety of the gun was off at the time Forrester lined the scope up with the police cars, buses and other vehicles driving down a busy road. The video was taken from Forrester's back yard at 4800 15th Ave. S. Gulfport PoliceTer'on Jerome Forrester was arrested Wednesday.Gulfport Police He captioned the video "bored af" "got 40 fa dey ass," followed by a laughing with tears of joy emoji. Gulfport detectives, with the assistance of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, arrested Forrester and served him with a Risk Protection Order, designed to enhance public safety by restricting firearm and ammunition possession by a person who poses a danger to himself or others. Police also seized the gun, which Forrester did not own but could access. The firearm was legally purchased. Forrester is being held at the Pinellas County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
