Join us for this installment of Farm School for all things peppers! Instructors: Hanna Mosca of Grow Pittsburgh, Tara Rockacy of Churchview Farm, Csilla Thackray of Churchview Farm Learn how to grow and care for your home pepper garden that will take your culinary dishes to the next level. Participants will learn about seeding and cultivating, in both in-ground beds and containers! We will touch on seed starting, cultivation techniques, pest/disease issues , and do an informal tasting, most likely just right off the plants! ------ Backyard Farm School is an expanded monthly learning series, put on by Churchview Farm and Grow Pittsburgh. Farmers Tara (Churchview) and Hanna (Grow Pittsburgh) will be joined by local chefs and special guest farmers to lead this season-long workshop series. ***All of our workshops will take place outside and follow recommended guidelines for social distancing and masks in place at the time of event.*** MISSION Our mission is to teach people how to grow food and promote the benefits gardens bring to our neighborhoods. VISION We envision the day when everyone in our city and region grows and eats fresh, local and healthy food.
